We just got off our flight from ATL, and had two hours to wait for our family member to arrive before we all headed out. Our first thought was halibut fish and chips! This is something that is extraordinarily hard to find in Georgia, and always a treat when I return to the Pacific Northwest. As soon as we headed out in the airport to explore we spy Salty's at SEA! Salty's is a favorite on the Columbia in Portland (our former home), so we knew we were in safe hands. We were seated promptly and when we told the staff that we were not in a hurry that we had just landed, she sat us in a quiet spot near the windows. There was no need to look at the menu, we knew what we wanted. We got the three piece fish and chips to share. The pieces of halibut were large, and cooked perfectly! The batter is crunchy yet light enough to showcase the fish! It was a perfect size to share. The tartar sauce was tasty and since we were sharing, they brought us an extra serving of both the tartar sauce and catsup. As a last minute whim, I ordered an Old Fashioned. I expected it to be good (it's my go to drink), but this was exceptional. I had to ask for the menu back to identify the whisky they were using.... it was Westland America Whiskey, distilled in Seattle. I was unfamiliar, but will look for it more often now, distilled in Seattle, it made my Old Fashioned a real treat. So, while, I don't often make a big deal of airport food, or even plan on eating in the airport, if you have a moment to spare, don't hesitate to stop in and give Salty's a try. They were the perfect, relaxing, tasty start to our 4th of July weekend in Seattle.
Surprisingly good food at the airport! The oysters, fish and chips, and clam chowder were really good. I didn't really like the mac and cheese it was a little too cheesy (I usually love mac and cheese I know it's supposed to be cheesy but it was too cheesy) and salty. I wouldn't order it again. Overall a great experience!
A fantastic restaurant located in the main area at the Seattle airport! Beautiful views. I got the seafood chowder (added crab) and add a slice of the sourdough bread on the side!!!! Perfect!!
I had the pleasure of dining at Salty's at the Sea in the Seattle airport and it was truly a delightful experience. We indulged in the seafood tower featuring crab, shrimp, and oysters, and every bite was a burst of freshness and flavor. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the impeccable service provided by Sean, our waiter. His energy, knowledge, and attentiveness elevated our meal to an unforgettable dining experience. The restaurant boasts a relaxing ambiance with stunning views of the mountains and the bustling airport activities. It was a unique and enjoyable setting where we could unwind while watching flights arrive and depart. The combination of delectable seafood, excellent service, and picturesque surroundings made our visit to Salty's at the Sea a memorable one. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in the Seattle airport. 100% would return for another exceptional meal at Salty's at the Sea.
Visited on (6/5) and service was super friendly, we got sat immediately and felt no rush at all because we were taking our time waiting for our flight. This was surprisingly not expected for an airport restaurant as the food had flavor and tasted good.
Had a bowl of chowder along with a side of grilled sourdough. Let me tell I so was not disappointed! Was delicious! Chowder had huge chunks of clams and was very hearty. Super filling, a real meal. Paired it with a Huckleberried Lemon Drop. Great little cocktail, very refreshing and tasty. Service is fast and Nicole, my server was very attentive. Glad I went with her recommendations. The menu consists of mostly seafood but there's a few meat dishes too for the Carnivores. Great selection of beers, wine and a variety of cocktails. Scenery is nice too. Located in the main terminal of Sea-Tac Airport with a fabulous glass wall view. Enjoyed watching the chefs shucking oysters while I was seated at the Oyster Bar. Which is a great place to be seated btw as I was able to plug in my phone while I dined. Highly recommend this restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere, great staff and just an overall great ambiance! I will be back in on my way back through this airport.
Lots of bar seating, with a busy dining room and great central views of the SeaTac runways. In the main concourse just inside security gate 3. Great friendly service from the bartenders, and food runners. As a tequila drinker, Salty's is the only spot I've seen top shelf like Clase Azul and Don Julio 1942. Needless to say, my spicy Bloody Maria's hit the spot.
Food better than we expected for being in the airport. The service was a 5. He was a professional service from their restaurant off property & we could tell. He had a Michelin restaurant professional server style to him. The restaurant decor had us feel as if we were not at an airport but a nice restaurant. We had a great experience. Highly recommend
